Dried Fish Treats, Are they good for dogs?

News

We often get a confused look from some of our customers when we tell them that dried fish is really good and nutritious for their dogs.

We offer a our very own fantastic range of dried fish based treats for Dogs

Fish is a fantastic source of nutrition for your dog.
Dried fish - rather than cook it - a process which leaves the intrinsic nutritional qualities intact.

Fish and seafood are super protein sources for dogs whilst being relatively low in saturated fats - so great for weight control too.
Fish is one of nature's most plentiful sources of vital Omega oils and essential fatty acids.

These oils and fatty acids don't occur naturally in your dog's digestive system - so adding them to their daily diet can be a big health benefit.

Omega oils 3 and 6 have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, meaning they're great for joints and general mobility. In addition, these fatty acids can greatly aid skin-itching and other minor dermatological complaints found in many dogs. A diet rich in Omega fish oils can also improve your dog's immune system - fighting bacterial infections, viruses and even fungal infections and also giving a reduced risk of stroke or heart problems.

Many things that are healthy for the human body are just as beneficial to growing dogs and puppies. The oils and fatty acids inherent in fish are vital in all-round development, particularly of the eyes and internal organs, and also boost a growing immune system.  Our dried fish treats are a great way to clean your dog's teeth. Dried fish is hard, but softer than bones - the chewing motion used to break the fish apart cleans the teeth and helps remove tartar and plaque build-up. Puppies also chew to relieve their gums while teething and strengthen their jaws to develop their adult teeth.

Fatty fish such as salmon have naturally high levels of Omega oils 3 and 6 - which are great for joints and all-round mobility.

The antioxidant qualities also help to boost stamina and lessen inflammation in painful joints - keeping your four legged friend bouncing with health.

Just like us, your dog looks forward to tasty meals and treats - it's important that their food smells and tastes great in order to benefit from its bountiful nutritional properties.  Fish is also easily digestible, thereby lessening the workload on your dog's internal organs, or over-loading their digestive system the way that some protein-rich meats can.

Feeding your dog fish - particularly salmon and other 'oily' fish - plays a big part in their skin and coat condition. Natural fish treats provide a great supplement of these vital minerals to promote healthy skin and a glistening coat.

Fish oils also provide moisture to dry, irritated skin, meaning decreased shedding and giving relief from many common skin-itching complaints.

Our dog treats and products are high in Omega 3 and 6 which helps alleviate inflammation and suppresses adverse immune reaction - ideally suited to adult and older dogs, particularly our White Fish and Potato products, which are easily metabolised for efficient body-functioning. Our dried fish treats also have a therapeutic function, helping to alleviate boredom, frustration and anxiety. All of our dried fish products are free from cereals, grain, additives, allergens, colours, E numbers and flavourings - in fact, they’re just fish and vegetables. From there our products are pressed, dried, packed and ready to go!  Hypoallergenic, wholesome and full of natural goodness.
